A Boring Post for a Boring Day

Or, Yet Another Disjointed, Anachronic Post

Announcements:
Happy birthday to: Michael P., Sydney T. & Rachel
Congratulations to Mr Woo on the birth of his son
Cut for something or other.

IT OCCURS to me that perhaps my sidebar design is...shall we say, not entirely ideal.
And that, perhaps, well...I might have picked up on some of Mr Wilson's oddities.
Eternal Fireworks isn't working for me.  Dunno why, 404 error or something.
And Dad still hasn't turned up after 2 weeks. Bit unusual, that.
This week in Ag we were digging up potatoes, and I learned I can't manage 3 bags of potatoes that well. On Monday I ended up giving a bag to Roshan, because he didn't have one and I made him ask nicely. And then today I sold a bag each to Mrs Kunz and the other library lady that's been coming in, Mrs Sang.
Today was cricket trials. Well, I say trials, but really. It was more of a seven-person talkfest, so I went to look at the boys' cricket trials, which were marginally more interesting, especially as we milked some information out of McFadyen as to what exactly's going on with how the classes are picked. I didn't get to talk about the content of the course next year, though. So, there are seven people in cricket this season (so far): me, Claudia, Denise (from Yr 12), Anu, Leanne and Rebecca. Nancy's MIA and Lena, Michelle and presumably Amanda are doing Rec this time round; and I presume that Charmaine's still doing water polo (edit: ; and of course Jim and Victor aren't doing girls' sports - which means that I have no-one to fangirl over bow ties and other vintage men's clothing Doctor Who with in cricket; and that 90% of the conversation will be about (INPO) a) Gossip Girl b) HIMYM c) Glee d) -
Go screw yourself, Mum. Go screw yourself. If all you're going to do is yell at me for overlooking something or other EVERY SINGLE DAMN TIME I DO SOMETHING, EVEN IF I HAVE PERFECTLY DAMN GOOD REASONS FOR DOING OR NOT DOING ANYTHING, THEN I MIGHT AS WELL NOT ANSWER YOUR DAMN CALLS, OR GO AND DO WHAT OTHER NORMAL TEENAGERS DO AND TURN THE MUSIC UP TO F***ING 110% INTENSITY OR SOMETHING. What is it with parents and their lack of tact, sympathy and understanding? I didn't call you because I didn't realise that I had to, and you can go blame someone else, like you usually do, for my lack of knowledge of social norms! AND I apologised, and MORE than once, at that!
Sorry, but really, this is taking it too far. Right, so where was I? Ah, yes.
So, most conversations (about 90%) will be about a) Gossip Girl b) HIMYM c) Glee & d) BBT, and the remaning 10% will be about random things such as the provenance of MILF and jigging school.
Today I'm alternately being high and a jackass. Perhaps tomorrow I'll have come off the sugar, but not while there's 2L bottles of soft drink lying around.
And then after sport we (i.e. Han, Xiong, Arlen (Yr 9), me, Syd, Kerrie and Victor Y.) were hanging around the library because Victor was tidying up for DofE and Han, Syd and Arlen were all going to Pres. Night. Then my mum rings me and abuses me for not having the foresight to ring to say that I cbf walking to 7/11, 15 minutes after I called to say I'd be there in 5 minutes, and she was complaining about the hot car. Well, see above.
Oh, and in Maths we had Mr Bialy cause Mr Woo was busy with the birth of his son and all.
And now this is my first proper blog post in a long time that's actually made it to publication! I say this calls for a mug of Fanta.
edit: Oh right. I forgot English. Because so many people were away for Pres. Night practice, we had a choice of watching The Princess Bride and HP4. I was the only one who picked the former, but it's OK, HP4 has David Tennant in it (and Has recognised him. Surprise, surprise.)
Also, I bet I could find t-shirts on the net for some definition of almost everybody. It makes me want to learn Javascript. Maybe Sunday.
